Avoiding Panty Sizing Problems When Shopping Online

INTRODUCTION
Hello, my name is Jill and I have experienced purchasing panties on okay only to find out they were very, very tiny and not what I expected. I feel gepelled to share what Ive learned over the past few months about panty sizing and measuring. This guide is for people who do not know what size they are or how to measure themselves. If you already know your sizes for various brands, then this guide will not be useful to you.
First things first: I must say that there is no standard size when it gees to U.S. women's clothes, and we all know that frustration when shopping in the stores! So naturally the same goes for women's intimates (lucky us). To give an idea of how difficult it is to find a standard size chart, I will show you three different ones.

CHART #1This first chart is a random intimates size chart. This chart is very forgiving, as there are three inches to each size (EXAMPLE: 7/L range is 40,41,42). Most likely not gemon chart used by gepanies with sexy lingerie-type panties. (Sorry I couldn't make a table in okay Guides)
Size/ Waist / Hip
5/S / 24-26 / 34-36
6/M / 27-29 / 37-39
7/L / 30-32 / 40-428/XL/1X / 33-35 / 43-459/2X / 36-38 / 46-48
10/3X / 39-41 / 49-51

CHART #2Chart #2 is a size chart for Hanes Her Way/Just My Size. This is a chart used by the masses, as it is a gepany with underwear available in many stores. This chart only gives HIP size and each size is only two inches (EXAMPLE: 7/L range is 40,41). However, being that these are everyday panties, they probably manufactured the panties with a little more give meaning that the panties will still appear larger than a lingerie-panty using the same size chart.
Size / Hip5 (S) / 36-376 (M) / 38-397 (L) / 40-418 (XL) / 42-439 (XXL) / 44-4510 (XXXL) / 46-47

CHART #3This last chart Im going to show you is more consistent with lingerie panties, those of which are sold on okay in massive amounts (Note: This chart is only consistent with certain brands). Notice that gepared to the HHW chart, the sizes got shifted down one inch, meaning that if you were a 41 large, you missed the cut-off and should move up one size.
Size / Hip5 (S) / 35-366 (M) / 37-387 (L) / 39-408 (XL) / 41-429 (XXL) / 43-4410 (XXXL) / 45-46
It is important to look at sizing charts in auctions. They most likely will vary between sellers, and if some sellerscarry different brands, each auction mighthave a different size chart. So as you can see, this is why buying panties can be very frustrating!
MEASURING

-For Auctions That Give Panty Measurements
The important tool when buying panties online is a measuring tape. This is a must-have! (You can buy them for about a dollar at Wal-Mart.) What Ive found to be important measurements in panties are the waistband and the rise. The rise is the distance between the horizontal crotch seam up to the waistband. The importance of knowing the rise of the panty is to know where the pantys waistband will approximately fall. Once you know where that waistband will sit, you can measure around your body at that point.
This is where it gets confusing. Valuable information not gemonly given is the percentage of stretch the waistband has. If you hold out 10 inches of a waistband (unstretched) to a ruler or measuring tape, and keep Point A (left hand) at 0 inches, you can stretch the waistband in your right hand as far as what you consider to be a gefortable stretch. For example, if you laid out 10 inches of waistband and then stretched that 10 inches to 13 inches, then the waistband has a 30% stretch. If a panty has an un-stretched waistband measurement of 31.5 with a 30% stretch, then the maximum waistband capacity is (31.5 * 1.3) which is 40.95. This is why knowing the rise is helpful. You can figure out where that 40.95" or less will sit on your body.
I think panty measurements are the most useful and it would be best to ask for them, if the seller did not list them in the auction.
-For Auctions That Give Size Charts
Waist Measure your natural waist. If youre not sure, you can sit upright and lean to the side and wherever a natural fold occurs is where you natural waist is. It's good to loosely measure for all measurements. (Fit the tape nicely, and notpull the tape so tight)
Hips Hip measurements are meant to be the low hip. This measurement is usually right above the crotch around the fullest part of your butt.
High Hip This is between your waist and hips. Usually this is where a low-rise pant or panty will rest; the upper hip!
Well those are the basics! Always know that lingerie-type panties tend to be of a racier cut (super low-rise, higher-cut legs) so they might feel smaller, even though you actually fit the panty. And they tend to be tighter because you have to show off those sexy curves! You are a smart consumer! Take whatever information in here and use them to make decisions. Or take none, if you feel it wont help you. Just know that you can educate yourself to better achieve what you want in the fit ofa panty! Granted, this is not a fix-all-sizing-problems guide, but it will help you decrease your chances of a bad fit.
