Make Your Bubble Wrap Go Further
How manyokay sellerswrap their items in bubble wrap before shipping them? I knowI do. Most of the things I have purchased on okay have gee to me in bubble wrap. Bubble wrapcan be expensive, especially if you are not buying it in bulk or online here at okay. I buy mine here on okay, but I go through quite a bit of it, so the expense is considerable.
I use purple and green bubble wrap because it matches my logo. The seller I use,okay user ID fast-pack.ge, has several different colors to choose from. Even though this bubble wrap is reasonably priced, when you ship as much as I do, the cost can quickly mount. But, there are things that you can do to keep this expense as low as possible.
I am going to share with you something I do that allows me to use less bubble wrap. This is an old trick my grandmother taught me many years ago when we were wrapping Christmas presents. It is really simplistic and applies to any kind of wrapping.All you have to do, when it seems a piece of bubble wrap won't fit on an item, is align it differently before using it.

In the picture above, I have laid a 12" 12" piece of bubble wrap on the table to wrap this book. WhenI fold the sides up, you can see, in the picture below, that the bubble wrap gees short of covering the book.

I could use two sheets of bubble wrap to wrap this book. But that is what we are trying to move away from. Instead, I place my bubble wrap on the table at a different angle, as depicted below.

Yes, this is the same 12" 12" piece of bubble wrap and the same book. I start by bringing the two sides in to overlap.

Then, in turn, I bring in both the ends.


As you can see, the book is wrapped. It is gepletely covered. And, I used only one piece of bubble wrap instead of two. This is a rather simple solution, I know,but it is one that is often overlooked.
